FIELD: crystal growing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the synthesis of zeolites. The synthesis of zeolite from the family of pentasyls of a given structural type by inter-zeolite transformations is proposed. The method includes the preparation of a precursor, the composition of which corresponds to the crystallization region of the zeolite of a given structural type, vapor phase or hydrothermal crystallization, solid phase separation, washing and drying. As a source of silicon and aluminum, a crystalline precursor zeolite with a known content of paired Al centers is used, selected from structural type zeolites mordenite (MOR), faujasite (FAU), BEA, ferrierite (FER). Preparation of the precursor is carried out by providing the following molar ratios of components: SiO2:Al2O3 from 40 to 150, H2O:SiO2 from 1.0 to 95, R:SiO2 from 0 to 0.5, where R is an organic template suitable for crystallization of the synthesized zeolite, MeOH /SiO2 from 0 to 0.5, where MeOH is alkali metal hydroxide, crystallization is carried out at 140-190°C in an autoclave.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of synthesis of pentasyl zeolite with a high degree of crystallinity at a crystal size from 0.1 to 5 microns and with a controlled content of paired centers of Al.
