FIELD: composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to composite material with closed pores, heat-insulating material, soundproof material, and a method for their manufacture. The method for the manufacture of composite material with closed pores includes: obtaining a mixture containing 30-70 parts by weight of resin dispersed in water, 10-300 parts by weight of non-expanded heat-expanding microspheres, 100-550 parts by weight of water, mixing of the mixture, preparation of a carrier, application of a layer of the resulting mixture to the carrier, heating of the mixture layer and the carrier for a certain time, during which non-expanded heat-expanding microspheres are expanded, to obtain composite material with closed pores, containing multilayer coating of the mixture. At the same time, non-expanded heat-expanding microspheres are hollow spherical or pseudo-spherical, with walls containing thermoplastic or heat-curing polymer materials, and the resulting composite material with closed pores contains a set of closed cavities and polymer walls, which separate closed cavities from each other. Moreover, the range of sizes of closed cavities is from 20 mcm to 800 mcm, and the ratio of the total volume of closed cavities and the total volume of polymer walls is more than 16. Heat- insulating material, according to the invention, is significantly superior to traditional heat-insulating materials in passage of as much air as possible and prevention of the circulation of air carried by material with the outside air, and therefore it can be used not only for heat preservation and heat insulation, but can also be widely used in other areas, such as sound insulation and sound absorption.
