APPARATUS FOR MODELLING AND VISUALISING LOCAL MYOCARDIAL COMPLIANCE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/02 A61F2/24 G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2779228 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and physiology, namely, to research instruments, and can be used to study the general and local characteristics of tissue compliance of the myocardium. Apparatus for modelling and visualising local myocardial compliance comprises a sensor for recording the intraventricular pressure; a recording system in the form of a computer; an upper and a lower plates separated by a span, with an adjustable screw connection for tying the plates. A sample of a cross section of the cardiac ventricle is placed in the span in working condition. The height of the span is commensurate with the thickness of the myocardial section of the ventricle. The plates are tied so close to each other that the sample section cavity forms a closed section. The upper plate is made transparent and allows photo and video recording. The lower plate is made opaque in order to ensure the contrast level during the recording and has a hole that simulating the atrioventricular foramen. The hole is oriented into the internal cavity of the section sample of the right or left ventricle in animals with two ventricular chambers, or into the internal ventricular cavity in univentricular species. The hole is connected to a peristaltic pump, the mode of operation whereof ensures the supply of saline into the internal cavity and the outflow thereof through the silicone connecting tube, configured for adjusting and monitoring the value of the pressure supplied to the section cavity. The recording system additionally comprises a photo and video camera installed over the transparent plate.

EFFECT: illustrative value of the simulation of heart function, accuracy and simplicity of photo and video recording of cardiac contractions for further analysis and calculation both from the outside and from the inside are provided.
