FIELD: testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for monitoring the range of laser rangefinders without field testing and estimating the sensitivity of the channel for receiving the light signal reflected from the target. The substance of the invention consists in a two-level configuration for lighting the pulse amplitude formation optics. Claimed unit comprises an output objective coupled with the objective of the rangefinder; an apparatus for coupling with the objective of the rangefinder, attenuating the laser beam; a starting pulse formation board; an electronic pulse delay unit; a laser; a personal computer; a two-level lighting configuration consisting of two inclined mirrors and a light scattering plate; optics consisting of two lenses and a disk of calibrated diaphragms providing the required power of the laser pulse; a cube prism combining the laser signal and the emission of the target.

EFFECT: ensured verification of the range of the rangefinder in a broad band of ranges.
