SUBSTANCE: invention relates to valve (100), preferably exhaust valve and/or valve (100) of a gas distribution mechanism, with plate (3) including plate surface (3.1) and fillet (3.2). In this case, surface (3.1) of plate (3) of the valve includes area (3.4) of a vertex of bulge (A) and edge zone (10). The valve differs in that, preferably for reduction in weight of bulge (A) of plate (3) of the valve, an outer side part of a section of edge zone (10) is made flatter compared to an inner side part of edge section (10), and/or the section of edge zone (10) includes at least one non-uniformity (P1-P4). The valve differs in that the bulge of plate (3) of the valve is located in the middle, and the outer part of the section of edge zone (10) includes an edge outer side part of surface (3.1) of the plate, and/or valve (100) is made in the form of a single valve, and/or neutral axis (4) of plate (3) of the valve partially extends from the side of load on imaginary base plane (BE), while base plane (BE) passes through effective middle (M) of support surface (3.3) of a saddle of plate (3) of the valve perpendicular to rod (2) of valve (100), while neutral axis (4) of plate (3) of the valve extends mostly from the side of load on base plane (BE).
