SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of processing tempered glass, in particular, to a moulding apparatus and to a method for moulding bent tempered glass. Apparatus for moulding curved tempered glass comprises a base frame, a transition gradual curving section (19), an air grate system and a moulding system (3). The air grate system therein comprises a set of upper air grates, consisting of multiple upper air grates (2), and a set of lower air grates, consisting of multiple lower air grates. The set of upper air grates is installed in the upper part of the base frame, and the set of lower air grates is installed in the lower part of the base frame. The transition gradual curving section (19) is located on the intake side of the moulding system (3). The transition gradual curving section (19) therein comprises multiple transition transverse curving elements (191) located in the direction of movement of sheet glass, to allow for gradual curving of the sheet glass in the transverse direction and moving of the glass into the moulding system (3). The moulding system (3) comprises two curving elements (7) for longitudinal moulding and multiple curving elements (12) for transverse moulding, located in the direction of movement of sheet glass. The curving element (12) for transverse moulding therein comprises an elastic element (16), multiple height adjustment elements (11), and a glass moving element (14) installed on the elastic element (16). The central area or central section of the elastic element (16) in the direction of length is therein secured on the lower support crossbeam (13) and connected on both sides of the central area or central section with the lower support crossbeam (13) by the multiple height adjustment elements (11). The possibility of curving the elastic element (16) is therein provided due to the adjustment of the multiple height adjustment elements (11).

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of production of tempered glass and increase in the accuracy of curving tempered glass.
