FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry of high molecular compounds, specifically, to a heat-resistant carborane-containing polydiphenylene-N-phenylphthalimidine by the formula I, wherein the value of n is such that the reduced viscosity ηpr of polymer I is 0.40 dl/g. Also proposed is a method for producing a polymer by the formula I.
EFFECT: creation of a new carborane-containing polydiphenylene-N-phenylphthalimidine polymer with higher heat resistance for manufacturing structural materials and "smart" materials for electronics.
