FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for autochondroplasty of traumatic defects of articular cartilage of the supporting surface of the condyles of the femur. Diagnostic arthroscopy of the knee joint is performed and free cartilage fragments are extracted. The resulting cartilage tissue is crushed. The affected condyle of the femur is accessed, a pattern with the configuration of the defect is made using foil. The collagen membrane is cut out according to the pattern. With the help of a bone awl, microfracturing of the subchondral bone is performed. The crushed cartilage is applied to the defect zone, then a simulated collagen membrane is applied and fixed along the perimeter of the area of its contact with the surrounding articular surface.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment of traumatic defects of articular cartilage of the supporting surface of the femoral condyles by providing access of nutrients, growth factors, mesenchymal stem cells to fragmented cartilage tissue, as well as to exclude tissue ischemia in the area of damage by preventing the occurrence of trabecular edema by performing microfracturing of the subchondral bone.
