SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pipeline transport, and in particular to methods for emptying a section of an oil pipeline. The emptying of the section of the oil pipeline 1, located between the linear locking devices 3, 4, is carried out through jumpers 9, 12, 18 with locking devices 10, 13, 19, mounted in zones (h, h1) with a minimum location height relative to the zero level in the lower part of the pipe, as well as in the zone (H) with the maximum height of the site. In the area with the maximum height of the section relative to the zero level, in the upper part of the pipe wall, a jumper 12 is mounted with a locking device 13 with the possibility of alternately connecting the cavity of the section with a mobile container 6 and the atmosphere through check valves 14, 15. First, the section is emptied into a mobile container 6 with the rest of the shut-off devices closed, and when the pressure in the section cavity decreases below atmospheric, the shut-off devices 10, 19 are opened, installed in zones with a minimum height relative to the zero level, and the section is emptied into mobile containers 5, 20.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify and increase the efficiency of emptying a section of an oil pipeline.
