FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves mounting of a jumper connecting an emptying segment and a parallel oil pipeline. Then through a pig launcher located before an emptying segment by oil flow a batching pig is launched, and after passing by it of the first gate to the distance of 3-10 m, the oil pipeline is stopped and an emptying segment is disconnected by closing the first and second gates. After that, oil is pumped out into a mobile capacity at a segment between the first gate and a batching pig through a plunger mounted at the beginning of the emptying segment. Then, shutoff devices on the jumper are opened and inert gas mixture through the plunger is supplied to the oil pipeline, providing for movement of the batching pig and displacement of oil into a parallel oil pipeline. When the pig approaches the jumper at the distance of 3-10 m, the jumper's shutoff devices are closed, supply of inert gas mixture is stopped off and excess pressure from an emptying segment is relieved through mounted in it plungers.
EFFECT: simplification of method, increase of oil pipeline emptying efficiency and output.
