FIELD: glass production.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a briquette for use in mineral loading of a furnace in the production of glass fibers. The briquette contains a product of mineral wool with a reduced carbohydrate content and a cement binder. The mentioned material of mineral wool in the form of spinning chamber filters, screw waste, edge shavings, flushing waste, unfinished cobs from spinning chamber filters, and similar waste contains a carbohydrate-containing binder, and it is processed by a method in order to reduce the carbohydrate-containing binder in the product. To reduce the carbohydrate content in material of mineral wool, material is subjected to a stage of fine grinding and processing of resulting substrate with one or several microorganisms capable of performing carbohydrate metabolism, and/or an extract of one or several microorganisms capable of performing carbohydrate metabolism.
EFFECT: obtaining a product with improved capability of recycling for reuse.
