SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a food additive in the form of an oral spray. The food additive consisting of an aqueous solution or an emulsion and represented in the form of a spray contains: a) at least one mineral selected from a group of minerals containing magnesium, zinc, selenium, manganese, as well as mixtures and combinations of listed substances; and/or b) at least one vitamin and/or at least one provitamin selected from a group consisting of pantothenic acid, dexpanthenol, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin E, niacin, folic acid, biotin, as well as mixtures and combinations of listed substances; c) at least one component for moistening and maintaining moisture content of mucosa of the oral cavity and/or pharyngeal area (a moistening agent); d) at least one component, which contributes to the feeling of free deep breathing, selected from a group consisting of ether oils, a menthol flavoring agent, a peppermint flavoring agent, peppermint oil, menthol oil, crystalline menthol, crystals with a smell of peppermint, and a peppermint extract, and e) caffeine. A method for non-therapeutic supplementary feeding provides for the introduction of the above-mentioned food additive to the human mouth, in the form of a spray, in particular, before, during, and/or after sports activities, in stress situations, during exams, and/or during vehicle driving.

EFFECT: invention allows for obtaining a food additive for maintenance of activity requiring endurance, as well as activity in stress situations; moistening of the oral cavity; improvement of mental and physical condition.
