FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vertical conveyor for moving bulk product by means of a conveyor belt that moves along a closed trajectory between two end drums located on the same vertical and on which devices for receiving bulk product are installed, and to a drive unit designed to rotate one of the end drums driving the conveyor belt. In addition, the vertical conveyor contains a tensioning device for adjusting the distance between the end drums vertically, and one of the end drums is a tensioning drum, which is mounted on a tensioning device that makes it possible to change the position of the tensioning drum in the vertical direction. The tensioning device contains two load cells for measuring the force acting on the tensioning drum.
EFFECT: timely detection of improper tension of the conveyor belt and/or its misalignment and prevention of damage to the machine or its long downtime is provided.
