FIELD: shaping.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for manufacturing electrodes, crucibles, heaters, and nuclear technology materials, such as uranium-graphite fuel cells. Workpieces are put in a container made of graflex or graphite, using carbamide as a fill in an amount of 5 to 10 wt.% of the workpieces. The container with the workpieces is covered with a lid, limiting the air supply, and placed in a closed container, said container then being filled with carbon fill - petroleum granular coke, also adding carbamide thereto in an amount of 5 to 10 wt.% of the fill. The workpieces are fired while heating to 750–800°C.

EFFECT: simplification of the firing process, improved quality of the end carbon graphite articles, especially small-sized ones, due to the elimination of oxidation thereof and coking of the fill.
