FIELD: computer technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for managing the collaborative editing of digital objects. The expected result is achieved due to the fact that the collaborative editing environment is configured in such a way that each user has the opportunity to: send a request to the server for the transfer of editing rights to a digital object contained in the collaborative editing environment; rejection of a request to transfer rights to another user to edit a digital object contained in a collaborative editing environment for a certain time; transfer rights to another user to edit a digital object contained in a collaborative editing environment for a certain time; edit at least one digital object, given that the user has been provided with the help of the server the rights to edit this digital object.
EFFECT: increase in the security of managing the collaborative editing of digital objects while minimizing human involvement.
