METHOD FOR ELECTRON BEAM GENERATION FOR ELECTRON SOURCES WITH PLASMA EMITTERS AND ANODE PLASMA Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H05H15/00 H01J37/06

Abstract RU 2780805 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electron beam generation in electron sources with plasma emitters under conditions of acceleration and transportation of an electron beam in an anode plasma. The method for generating an electron beam for electron sources with plasma emitters and anode plasma consists in using an electron source with a plasma emitter, in which the electron beam is transported in an anode plasma, an electrode is introduced into the space of the plasma emitter that has a floating potential or is connected to the anode of the discharge system of the plasma emitter through resistance and which takes the accelerated ion flow from the anode plasma. The electrode is installed in the space of the plasma emitter between the redistributing electrode and the emission electrode, while the projection area of the electrode on the emission electrode must exceed the projection area of the redistributing electrode on the emission electrode to fulfill the condition of maximum fixation of the ion flow from the accelerating gap.

EFFECT: increase in the stability of the ignition and combustion of the arc discharge current in the plasma emitter and a decrease in the influence of the ion flow from the accelerating gap on the generation of the emission plasma.
