Abstract RU 2780871 C1

FIELD: marine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of marine engineering and mining on the sea shelf in Arctic conditions. A method is proposed to prevent the displacement or destruction of a marine structure due to the impact of a field of drifting ice floes on it, consisting in the fact that an ice-class vessel equipped with at least one rudder propeller is installed in front of the marine structure. At the same time, with the main propulsion or propellers working in the stern and with the bow rudder propellers turned on, reciprocating movements of the vessel are carried out along its diametrical plane (DP), shifting drifting ice floes running into the vessel from it to both ends and directing them to bypass the hull of the marine structure. At the same time, a vessel with a DP length of at least the B width of a marine structure is used, and it is positioned by orienting the ship’s DP at an angle of 45-75 degrees to the direction of drift of ice floes. The said vessel is placed from the offshore structure at a distance S equal to 0.7-0.9 of the length of the vessel. Additionally, hydrodynamic jets are created adjustable in the direction and speed of movement in the direction of movement of the field of drifting ice floes by means of a ship’s air bubbling system, before placing an ice-class vessel, the speed and direction of movement of drifting ice floes and their weight and size characteristics are determined.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the reliability and effectiveness of the protection of a marine structure from the forceful impact of the field of drifting ice floes on it and prevent its displacement or destruction.
