FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: cylindrical bioactive implant for replacing circular defects of long bones is made of a composite created from a degradable polymer including a bioactive component using additive technology by layer-by-layer buildup of material in a shape, size, and structure set by a three-dimensional mathematical model, in shape of a cylinder, containing a network of longitudinal and transverse through channels. The ends of the implant are made in the form of a collet shaped as a springing split bushing with six divergent lobes and are equipped with locking rings.
EFFECT: rigid enveloping low-trauma fixation of the implant on bone fragments without using bone screws; consistent stability of the fragments for replacing the long bone defect; and gradual formation of bone matter in the area of the defect, induced by the implant.
