FIELD: cosmonautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a space vehicle (SV) and a control system (CS) and pertains to the removal of space debris. SV is intended to change the orbit or orientation of the target (debris) in outer space by irradiating the target by means of a laser. The SV therein comprises a laser set, a focusing apparatus configured to focus the laser radiation on one point, a detection unit, a control unit, and a data collection apparatus. The detection unit is configured to obtain the detection information including the distance between the SV and the target. The irradiation control unit is configured to control the focusing apparatus based on the distance so that the laser would focus on one point on the target, and determine the position of irradiation with the laser on the target. The data collection apparatus is configured to obtain the collected image of the target. The irradiation control unit herein is additionally configured to obtain the position on a target irradiated with the laser based on the collected image and determine a new irradiation position based on the position irradiated with the laser.
EFFECT: ensured reliable change in the orbit or orientation of the target in outer space.
