FIELD: blasting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of safe means of blasting, namely, laser means of initiation using explosives. The laser igniter contains a metal sleeve 3 installed coaxially in the housing 1 with a gradient lens 2 located inside it, fixed with an adhesive joint, on the end surfaces of which an antireflection material 4 is coated. Explosive is made in the form of attachments, initiating attachment 5 and outlet attachment 6 made out of pyrotechnic composition. The metal sleeve 3 borders on the initiating attachment 5. An optical fiber or optical ceramics can be used as a gradient lens 2.

EFFECT: increased reliability of operation of the device is provided by reducing losses of laser radiation, increasing the initiating ability and safety, maintaining the integrity of the radiation input unit when unloading pressure generated by combustion products.
