FIELD: printing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to printing on the surface of sheet and roll materials by transferring an image from a colouring film, wherein said image is formed using particles of hot adhesive powder pre-applied to the colouring layer of the film, and can be applied in the printing industry. The method consists in using hot adhesive powder combined with the colouring surface of the film and a thermal print head combined with the opposite side of the film to form the image. By moving the film relative to the print head and the container with the hot adhesive, segments covered with stuck adhesive particles in the shape of the preset image are formed on the surface of the film with the colouring agent. The image is transferred to the surface of the material by combining the surface of the material with the surface of the film with the applied hot adhesive segments while heating, wherein the hot adhesive particles bind the surface of the material to the colouring layer, followed by separating the film from the surface of the material.
EFFECT: possibility of selective application of hot adhesive to certain areas of the colouring film and expanded range of methods for transferring images onto sheet and roll materials.
