FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a composition for topical use, containing an “oil-in-water” nano-emulsion, and a method for destruction or inhibition of bacterium growth in biofilm, including impact on biofilm with the specified nano-emulsion. The nano-emulsion contains a surfactant begentrimonium chloride, while an oil phase contains at least one softener selected from Vaseline, isopropyl palmitate, dimethicon, mineral oil, paraffin waxes, cetyl alcohol, or a mixture thereof; and a water phase. The nano-emulsion contains drops having values of Souter diameter D[3;2] from about 10 nm to about 100 nm.
EFFECT: obtaining a composition for topical use, which has great microbiological activity.
