FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device relates to the field of electrical devices, in particular to heating cables, and can be used for heating gaseous, liquid media and solid surfaces. In a shaped heating cable consisting of a resistive core made of a plurality of conductive resistive elements covered with an elastic polymer insulating sheath, the cable in cross section has a shape in the form of a radiator with radial ribs.
EFFECT: invention provides increased efficiency of heat removal from the resistive core and heat transfer between the cable and the heated object, as well as the durability of the cable in the conditions of its operation in the presence of multiple bends and the ability to dampen transverse loads during installation and operation.
