SUBSTANCE: machine for strapping reinforcing bars is created, which allows for binding strapping objects, for example, reinforcing rods, with wires so that end sections of wires are directed towards strapping objects. The strapping machine contains a casing made with the possibility of accommodation of wire; a wire supply unit made with the possibility of supply of wire placed in the casing; a bending guiding unit made with the possibility of winding wire from the wire supply unit into a loop around the strapping object; and a strapping unit made with the possibility of winding wire around the strapping object for strapping the strapping object, while the strapping unit contains a clamping unit made with the possibility of clamp of wire, wherein the clamping unit contains a pair of clamping elements. At the same time, one clamping element, on a surface facing another clamping element, contains a protrusion, which protrudes in the direction towards the specified another clamping element; and the specified another clamping element, on a surface facing the specified one clamping element, contains a recess, which the protrusion of the specified one clamping element enters.
