FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the mining industry and can be used in the development of gently sloping and slightly inclined coal seams, for example, for driving between paired drifts. Method for carrying out a branch from an underground working in a zone of water accumulation, including the destruction of the branch face and loading the extracted rock mass onto a conveyor located in the underground working, from which the branch is carried out, and intended for transporting the rock mass from other faces. To destroy the bottom of the branch, a suspended selective rock-cutting unit is used, the installation and working space of which is located above the conveyor without the need to stop and/or dismantle the conveyor. The rock mass is loaded onto a running conveyor as the rock mass is separated from the branch face. At the beginning of the branch penetration, with the help of a rock-cutting unit, the rock in the branch space is destroyed with the formation of a collar, the dimensions of which prevent the drainage of water into the space of the branch being carried out.
EFFECT: reduction of labor intensity and improvement of conditions for conducting a branch from an underground mine in the area of water accumulation by moving the working space of the equipment for conducting a branch from the zone of water accumulation and preventing water from entering the conducted branch.
