FIELD: ventilation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for creating an air flow and is intended for operation in ventilation and aspiration systems. Cross-flow fan for creating an air flow comprises a spiral body with an inlet and an outlet and a flat wall separating the inlet and the outlet, and a blade impeller installed in the body. The separating flat wall has a louver grid placed on the side of the blade impeller, with the louvers thereof facing the impeller. An additional blade impeller adjacent to the impeller of a smaller diameter is installed under the louver part of the grid, wherein a curvilinear wall with the convex side thereof facing down is located under said additional wheel; the leading edge of said wall jointly with the leading edge of the flat wall forming an entrance window, and the trailing edge of the curvilinear plane with the flat wall forming an exit window. The additional blade impeller, the flat wall, the curvilinear wall, and the windows herein form an additional cross-flow fan.

EFFECT: enhanced aerodynamic qualities of the cross-flow fan — increase in the productivity, pressure, and performance coefficient and increase in the stability of operation.
