SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in manufacturing plastic products exhibiting antibacterial properties. Method for producing an antibacterial plastic master batch involves the production of a suspension containing a crushed product and water. The crushed product, including 68.80 wt.% silicon dioxide (SiO2), 12.99 wt.% aluminium oxide (Al2O3), 2.47 wt.% iron oxide (Fe2O3), 1.99 wt.% calcium oxide (CaO), 0.56 wt.% magnesium oxide (MgO), 4.53 wt.% potassium oxide (K2O), 6.25 wt.% sodium oxide (Na2O), 0.23 wt.% titanium dioxide (TiO2), 0.06 wt.% phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5), and 0.06 wt.% manganese oxide (MnO), is produced by firing and crushing quartz-porphyry of volcanic origin. An antibacterial substance and a foaming agent are added to the resulting suspension, which is mixed to create a granulation mixture. The granulation mixture is formed using a granulator to produce sintered granules with a particle size from 0.1 to 1.5 mm. The resulting granules are mixed with plastic raw materials and extruded at 180 to 350°C, cooled, and cut to produce a master batch.
EFFECT: creation of an antibacterial effect on the surface of plastic, exhibited evenly over the entire product.
