FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A method for producing carotenoids from the microalgae biomass of Chlorella vulgaris, including high-speed homogenization at a speed of rotation of the rotor 5000-12000 rpm for 5 min in an ice bath biomass, pre-mixed in the ratio 1:5-1:7 with a mixture of hexane and ethyl alcohol, taken in the ratio 2:1, followed by extraction of carotenoids at 232°C with the use of ultrasound with a frequency of 25 kHz for 5-25 minutes. Then the extract of carotenoids is separated and isolated from chlorophylline acids by saponification with potassium alkali, followed by separation of fractions, washed with cold distilled water and condensed under vacuum at a temperature of 45°C.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the yield of the target product from the biomass of microalgae Chlorella vulgaris.
