SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a recombinant pathogenic bacterium and its use. A recombinant pathogenic bacterium is proposed for use as a system for the delivery of a heterologous antigen. The specified bacterium is modified to contain: a regulated araC ParaBAD gene murA; deletion/insert mutation, which inactivates expression of gene asdA and performs insertion of gene c2; deletion in gene pmi; deletion in gene pagL; regulated rhaRS PrhaBAD gene waaL; deletion in gene wza-wcaM; deletion/insert mutation, which inactivates expression of gene RelA and performs insertion of gene lacI; deletion in gene recF; and deletion in gene sifA. A recombinant bacterium Salmonella enterica subsp. Enterica for use as a system for the delivery of a heterologous antigen, and a pharmaceutical composition for causing an immune response against an antigen of interest in a subject, containing a recombinant bacterium and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier are also proposed. A method for causing an immune response against an antigen of interest in a subject is also proposed, providing administration to the subject of effective amount of the specified pharmaceutical composition.
