FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and a method for desulfurization of natural gas. The device for desulfurization of natural gas contains: a) a system for desulfurization of sour gas, in which, among desulfurized natural gas, hydrogen sulfide-containing acid gas is formed, b) a system for extraction from acid gas formed in the desulfurization system of elemental sulfur and hydrogen sulfide-containing residual gas as waste gas, and c) an installation for the production of electricity and gypsum of residual gas or acid gas, or of a mixture of acid gas and residual gas. At the same time, the device additionally contains c1) a device for generation of electricity, containing a furnace device for combustion of residual gas or acid gas, or the mixture of residual gas and acid gas, while energy released during combustion is at least partially used for generation of electricity, c2) a system for desulfurization of flue gases for desulfurization of sulfur oxide-containing waste gaseous combustion products released during combustion by the formation of gypsum, d) a gas pipeline system for supply of acid gas from the desulfurization system to the system (for extraction of elemental sulfur) and to the installation for the production of electricity and gypsum, as well as for supply of residual gas from the system for extraction of elemental sulfur to the installation for the production of electricity and gypsum. Moreover, d1) the gas pipeline system has a gas-distributing device, which, in the first position, supplies acid gas only to the system for extraction of elemental sulfur, in the second position, supplies acid gas only to the installation for the production of electricity and gypsum, and, in a distribution position, supplies the first part of acid gas to the system for extraction of elemental sulfur, and the second part of acid gas – to the installation for the production of electricity and gypsum.
EFFECT: reduction in amount of sulfur formed during desulfurization of natural gas.
