FIELD: auxiliary devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of auxiliary devices for mechanical processing of a forming rod of a glass mold and can be used for longitudinal polishing of a forming rod of a glass mold. The shaping rod fastening mechanism comprises a mounting platform, a chuck with three jaws mounted on the mounting platform, and a stepper motor driving said chuck. The polishing mechanism includes a retractable stand, a drive mechanism designed to actuate the retractable stand for reciprocating motion, and a flexible clamp mounted on the retractable stand. A polishing device is located on the end of the flexible clamp. As a result of polishing, a strip structure is formed corresponding to the longitudinal direction of the rod.
EFFECT: reduced friction force between the shaping rod and molten glass, increased smoothness of the inner surface of the glass bottle.
