FIELD: packaging, transportation and storage.
SUBSTANCE: movable system for preventing belt breakage and for its gripping, intended for belt conveyor, comprises detection device, two tracks, several gripping devices and control system. Detection device is installed on a belt conveyor and has the possibility of detecting presence of a crack on the belt of the conveyor. Two tracks are located symmetrically on both sides of belt conveyor, and on two tracks there are several gripping devices arranged symmetrically. Control system is configured to control several gripping devices for simultaneous reliable band gripping when the device detects the presence of a crack on the tape; and after reliable gripping of tape each gripper can be unidirectionally moved together with belt along track, on which gripping device is located.
EFFECT: system for prevention of tape breakage and for its gripping may well grip tape before belt breakage, and after gripping operation belt conveyor can continue movement.
