FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of testing of devices for tightness; it can be used for detection of leakage in sealing membrane (5, 8) of a sealed and heat-insulating tank. The mentioned tank has a multi-faceted shape defined by a set of walls, which are attached to a bearing structure. Each tank wall contains a heat-insulating barrier containing insulating elements attached to the bearing structure and membrane (5, 8) resting on insulating elements. Heat-insulating barriers of tank walls communicate with each other, defining a heat-insulating space. A leakage detection device is delivered, containing bell-shaped detection device (55) and a vacuum pump. The vacuum pump is connected, from one side, to sealed detection chamber (61) defined using membrane (5, 8), and, from the other side, – to equipment for analysis. Bell-shaped detection device (55) is located opposite to the surface of membrane (5, 8), opposite to the heat-insulating space. Moreover, bell-shaped detection device (55) is located so that sealed detection chamber (61) is located facing a section of welding roller (62) to be tested. Detection chamber (61) is put under action of negative pressure, using the vacuum pump. A gas phase present in detection chamber (61) is supplied to equipment for analysis. The gas phase is analyzed, and a variable characterizing concentration of indicator gas in the gas phase is obtained.
EFFECT: reliable and quick detection of a leakage.
