SUBSTANCE: tank includes a bottom wall (2) attached to a load-bearing wall (1), wherein the bottom wall (2) contains a sealed membrane (3) containing a plurality of welded corrugated metal sheets. The tank contains a heat-insulating barrier (4), and the sealed membrane (3) and the heat-insulating barrier (4) are divided in a separate zone by an opening (7). The tank contains a hollow structure (15) inserted into the opening (7), and the hollow structure (15) is located along the entire thickness of the wall (2) of the tank. The tank (71) includes a metal closure plate (23), and the metal closure plate (23) includes an inner edge (24) welded around the entire hollow structure (15). The metal closure plate (23) includes an outer edge (25) positioned under the sealing membrane (3) so as to define an overlap zone, wherein the metal closure plate (23) is hermetically welded to the sealing membrane (3) in the overlap area and the metal closure plate (23) remains free relative to the heat-insulating barrier (4).

EFFECT: improvement of fastening of the sealing membrane to a hollow rigid structure and, in particular, to the structure of a sump, a steam manifold or a support.
