SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a gyratory crusher and a method for control of such a crusher, which can be used in crushing rocks. Gyratory crusher 10 contains immobile outer shell 40 having inner crushing surface 42, main shaft 32 with armor 36 including outer crushing surface 43, which creates crushing gap 38 with inner crushing surface 42 of outer shell 40, eccentric 34 located so that it surrounds part of main shaft 32, frequency-adjustable drive 60 connected to eccentric 34 for provision of rotation of eccentric 34 and main shaft 32, a level sensor located with the possibility of determination of a level of material in an open loading end of the crusher, a camera located above the open loading end of the crusher for determination of a size of material supplied from a receiving hopper to the open loading end of the crusher, and control system 62 for adjustment of a frequency of rotation of eccentric 34 by means of control of frequency-adjustable drive 60. At the same time, control system 62 is connected to the level sensor and to the camera and is made with the possibility of control of a speed of rotation of the eccentric based on the determined size of material. The method for control of the rock crushing system consists in that rock crushing is carried out on the gyratory crusher containing the immobile outer shell with the inner crushing surface and the main shaft with armor including the outer crushing surface, which creates the crushing gap with the inner crushing surface of the outer shell. At the same time, the method includes stages, at which material to be crushed is supplied to the receiving hopper located above the gyratory crusher, a size and amount of material inside the receiving hopper are determined, the frequency-adjustable drive is actuated for the rotation of the eccentric installed on the main shaft for provision of gyratory movement of armor inside the outer shell, and a frequency of rotation of the eccentric is dynamically controlled for adjustment of a speed of a flow of crushed material from the gyratory crusher.
EFFECT: gyratory crusher provides an increase in the efficiency of a crushing process.
