FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the external crushing armour for a gyratory crusher. The crusher comprises crushing armour (106) with a single flange portion (112). The armour (106) is mounted on an area of the frame of the upper body (111) of the crusher around a central longitudinal axis (115). The supporting surface (201, 206, 207) of the armour faces outwards from the axis for mounting on the frame of the upper body. The contact surface (200, 203, 205) of the armour faces inwards relative to the axis (115) for contact with the crushed material. The supporting and contact surfaces form the wall of the armour with first upper (124) and second lower (125) axial ends. The contact surface (200) from the upper axial end lies at an angle and protrudes axially downwards and radially inwards to form an inlet portion (121). The axially lowest part (401) of the inlet portion ends with the flange portion (122). The contact surface (203) of the flange portion lies at an angle and protrudes radially inwards and axially downwards from the contact surface of the inlet portion. The angle of inclination (a) of the contact surface of the inlet portion relative to the axis is less than angle of inclination (b) of the contact surface of the flange portion. The contact surface (205) extends from the axially lowest part of the flange portion to the lower axial end, is oriented downwards and protrudes radially outwards from the axis. The lower axial end forms a crushing portion directly from the axially lowest part of the contact surface of the flange portion.

EFFECT: inclination angle of the surface on the inlet and flange portions and axial length of the crushing surface optimise output and increase crushing efficiency.
