FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: donor's allogenic cornea is subject to corneal collagen cross-linking. An intrastromal pocket is formed in the donor's cornea. A keratoprosthesis is implanted therein to prepare a corneal-prosthesis complex. A recipient's conjunctiva is further incised at 6 mm from a limb at a length of arc of 90 degrees in a segment wherein there are fewer scleral-conjunctival adhesions and scars. The conjunctiva is separated from the sclera and the whole surface of the leukoma. The Ahmed valve drainage is implanted into a subtenon space. A through leukoma trepanation is performed. An intracapsular lensectomy or cataract extraction, and an anterior vitrectomy are performed through the trephine opening. The corneal-prosthesis complex is laid in the trephine opening and fixed to the leukoma tissues with interrupted sutures. An incision region and the corneal-prosthesis complex are laid with a separated conjunctival flap and fixed to the surrounding tissues with interrupted sutures.

EFFECT: method reduces a risk of developing postoperative complications of the keratoprosthesis, enables achieving high and stable visual functions in the given category of patients, requires no recurrent operations ensured by the one-stage keratoprosthesis with compulsory recovery of an anterior segment.
