FIELD: railway engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric transmission systems for rail vehicles. The traction drive of a rail vehicle contains a wheel placed on the wheel axis by means of a rotating support made in the form of bearings, and an electric motor, the stator of which is fixed on the wheel axis. In this case, the rotor of the electric motor is the wheel itself with end teeth made on it. The stator is made in the form of a disk with end phase windings and a magnetization winding. The magnetization winding is connected to the current source through a current regulator connected to a subordinate control system containing an adder, two inputs of which are connected to the outputs of the setpoint unit and the traction force sensor, and the output of the adder is connected to the input of the current regulator.
EFFECT: increase in the traction properties of a rail vehicle.
