FIELD: transport machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, particularly, to increasing traction force of locomotive due to increased adhesion of drive wheels with rails. Device for increasing engagement of locomotive driving wheels with rails comprises electromagnets connected to current source and connected with equalizer beams, which, in their turn, are connected with axles of wheel pairs. Each equalizer beam has a zigzag shape with U-shaped bend in the middle of equalizer beam and is connected to non-magnetic insert. Ends of each of equalizer beams are located near rims of wheels, with a gap relative to rims of wheels, at that one of ends of each equalizer beam is located from external side of wheel rim, and opposite – from inner side of wheel rim. Number of electromagnets equals that of the equalizer beams. Each electromagnet is made horizontal and located on the equalizer beam across the movement direction of the locomotive. Proposed device comprises also transducers of longitudinal accelerations secured on axle boxes, measuring units, band-pass filters, rectifiers, comparators, setpoint unit, OR logic element and switch.

EFFECT: as a result, higher efficiency of locomotive, reduced power consumption for traction, reduced losses caused by eddy currents.
