SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, cosmetology, physical therapy; it is intended for use in strengthening muscles of the oral cavity and a group of hyoid muscles. A training device for training facial muscles consists of a handle and a loop, and it is made with the possibility of being extended, as well as with the possibility of introduction of the tongue into the loop with its subsequent grip with the tongue. At a place of grip of the loop with the tongue, an upper part of the loop relatively to side parts of the loop may have a smaller thickness and a bigger thickness. The loop may be made of elastic silicone polymer. The training device handle may have protrusions by a shape of fingers. The training device handle may be made of elastic silicone polymer or plastic materials. The loop can be extended by 10-40% of a size in a static state. A method for training facial muscles consists of following stages: impart to the head and shoulders of a straight position, installation of the training device for training facial muscles into the oral cavity in such a way that the loop is gripped with the tongue; retention of the training device handle at a level of lips; performance of exercises aimed at muscle movement with retention of the loop in the oral cavity with the tongue, while the loop is an extended position; removal of the training device from the oral cavity of a trainee.
EFFECT: inventions, due to making a loop with the possibility of being extended, creation of resistance and dynamic load, allow for strengthening muscles of the oral cavity, groups of hyoid and supra-hyoid muscles, lifting an area of the second chin, restoring muscles after the stroke and with facial paralysis.
