FIELD: thermal spraying.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermal spraying, and in particular to methods for plasma spraying of coatings on complex profile surfaces of machine parts. The method for plasma spraying of a coating on the working surfaces of the screw includes pre-treatment of the screw surfaces, degreasing and spraying of powdered material. The screw and cylindrical surfaces of the screw are sprayed, at least partially, with a powder material consisting of 76.5% self-fluxing powder PR-HX17CP4 with a fraction size of 40-64 microns and 23.5% of titanium carbide powder with a fraction size of 73-74 microns, by means of at least one deposition cycle at a plasma torch arc current of 233-248 A, deposition distance of 81-83 mm, mass flow rate of the sprayed material of 0.4-0.5 g/s, and a part rotation speed of 35-37 min-1.

EFFECT: improvement of the quality of the coating is provided due to the rational selection of the composition of the spraying material and technological modes, taking into account the geometric features of the machined surfaces of the part.
