FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to diagnostic radiology, and can be used to calibrate the program for asynchronous quantitative computed tomography (CT). The test object is scanned on a CT scanner supporting the asynchronous QCT mode. For the resulting series of images, the indicators of the average value of Hounsfield units (HU) and the standard deviation of HU are calculated for each functional element of the test object. The test object herein constitutes a phantom made shaped as a hollow cylinder containing three functional elements in the form of cylindrical containers filled with a solution of potassium dihydrophosphate on the side of the freely ending bases in concentrations corresponding to the norm, osteopenia, and osteoporosis, and the remaining free space of the phantom is filled with distilled water in the process of testing.
EFFECT: optimisation and reduction in the time of examination due to the proposed calibration algorithm and the used test object.
