FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy and can be used for processing lead-zinc and copper production slags. Depletion of the slag melt containing iron and non-ferrous metals includes supplying the slag melt for processing, blowing with a gaseous reagent, followed by distillation of non-ferrous metals into the gas phase with gas-lift mixing through a submerged tuyere to form slag foam. The initial slag melt is heated to a temperature of 1500-1550°C by treatment with a heat carrier gas obtained by burning natural gas with an oxygen consumption coefficient of 1.0-1.1, then it is reduced in the volume of slag foam by supplying a gaseous reducing agent obtained by converting natural gas with oxygen consumption coefficient of 0.35-0.5 while maintaining the specified temperature of the recovery process.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the efficiency of reduction melting in a liquid slag bath.
