FIELD: textile industry.

SUBSTANCE: methods for the formation of thick-wall multilayer woven shells of a cylindrical or conical shape with a low conicity angle are claimed, which consist in development on a forming mandrel installed in a circular weaving machine by interweaving of warp thread systems forming axial reinforcement, ligation thread systems forming radial reinforcement, and weft threads laid in a wave opening between upper and lower covering of warp threads, forming annular reinforcement. In this case, when forming fabric edge, an additional warp thread system is introduced in its outer layer or layers, or an additional thread system not connected to fabric is introduced between the forming mandrel and a formed shell, which are removed after removal of the shell, while a number of warp threads in this system is selected depending on the geometry of the formed shell in such a way that fabric edge is supported perpendicular to a mandrel surface, and it does not have a high level of residual stresses.

EFFECT: obtainment of thick-wall multilayer woven shells of a cylindrical or conical shape with a low conicity angle.
