FIELD: textile industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the textile industry, in particular to thick-walled solid-woven shells intended for use as reinforcing elements of products made of composite materials. The method of manufacturing a multi-layer woven shell includes working it out of filler threads and systems of main threads on a forming mandrel installed in a round-weaving machine and removing it from the specified mandrel. Moreover, when the woven shell is running out, the layers of main threads and the layers of filler threads, alternating with each other and performing rectangular reinforcement in the direction of the forming and annular direction of the shell, are connected with each other by binder threads. At the same time, before removing the accumulated woven shell from the forming mandrel, the outer layer of weft is cut dispersed over the outer surface of the shell, after which the woven shell is kept on the forming mandrel for at least a day.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce woven shells produced on a round-weaving machine in the "reserve" while maintaining the possibility of giving them the required shape during the molding operation on their basis of products made of composite materials.
