The technical result is achieved by distributing the nominal wavelengths generated by the equipment of the fiber-optic transmission system with spectrum division of channels (FOTS-SD), between the main ring route and additional linear routes, and extracting from the nominal wavelengths of the main ring route the nominal wavelengths for the formation of backup route, divide the traffic transmitted over the fiber-optic communication network with spectrum division of channels (FOCN-SD) into real-time traffic and data traffic, distribute the wavelength ratings of the main ring route, additional linear routes and the backup route into a sub-band of wavelengths for traffic real time and a subrange of wavelengths for data transmission traffic, transmit traffic between pairs of corresponding nodes Zij, in the event of a decrease or absence of the optical signal power level in the optical fibers (OF) of the fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) pc<рadd additional main ring routes or in additional linear routes, they automatically switch the transmission of real-time traffic to the backup route; when the optical signal power level in the fiber-optic line is restored, pc>padd, they automatically switch from the backup route to the main ring route or additional linear routes.
