SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods for reducing the fouling rate of a heat exchanger. The system for reducing the fouling rate of the heat exchanger comprises: a gas outlet line configured to pass the first gas stream. The first heat exchanger is configured to receive the first gas stream and obtain the first cooled gas stream. A bypass line configured to remove a portion of the entrained fine polyolefin particles from the gas outlet line to form a bypass stream and combine it with the second gas stream at the outlet of the bypass line. The bypass line inlet is located upstream of the first heat exchanger. The bypass line outlet is located downstream of the first heat exchanger.
EFFECT: reducing the rate of fouling of the heat exchanger.
