FIELD: engine devices and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: polymerization process involves circulation in a loop reactor of reaction mixture polymerization in the form of suspension containing olefin, a catalyst and polymer particles by means of a pump and determination of pressure change of reaction mixture in the form of suspension in the course of technological process relative to the pump. An actuation signal of a discharge valve is generated by means of a pressure control device based on pressure change, and correction to actuation signal of the discharge valve and the time delay for correction. Then a correction is applied to the actuation signal of the discharge valve to generate the corrected actuation signal of the discharge valve, supplying the corrected actuation signal of the discharge valve to the discharge valve after the time delay and adjusting the position of the discharge valve as a response to the supply of the corrected actuation signal of the discharge valve. The pressure in the reactor depends on the position of the discharge valve.

EFFECT: correction to the actuation signal of the discharge valve makes it possible to reduce pump power vibrations to keep the pump power at a more constant level, approximating the average power of the pump averaged over time.
