SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an annular seal. Annular seal comprises the first actuated cuff, a certain number of sealing rings, a second actuated cuff, and a liner. The first actuated cuff defines the first axial end of the annular seal. The certain number of sealing rings defines the second axial end of the annular seal. The second actuated cuff is located between the first actuated cuff and the certain number of sealing rings. The liner is located between the first and the second actuated cuffs. The first actuated cuff comprises a first body defining a volume and at least partially containing the first actuating element with a generally O-shaped cross-sectional profile.
EFFECT: creation of a seal capable of withstanding broad temperature ranges without losing the characteristics of an effective seal.
