FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: area of application: the invention relates to the field of radio measuring and can be used in building broadband digital meters of sinusoidal signal levels. Substance: method is based on measuring the input signal frequency and correcting the preliminary level measurement result by establishing a functional relation with a known amplitude frequency response of the input signal amplification path. The main operations herein are input signal amplification, measurement of the frequency thereof, detection, conversion of DC voltage into digital code, and correction of the digital code. The method is implemented using a meter with the function of auto-correcting preliminary results, including an input amplifier, a frequency meter, a detector, an analogue-to-digital converter, and a functional converter used for strictly arithmetic operations.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of estimating the sinusoidal signal level in a broad frequency band.
